Pax Aeterna - Grenache

Vineyard: Chaffey Bros Wine Co. Grenache from Barossa is a beauty. The grower, Kevin Schild, is the custodian of the 83 year-old Grenache vines.

Season: A late vintage compared to previous years. Cooler days and nights delivered flavours highly concentrated, with ripe and luscious elegant fruit.

Winemaking: PAX AETERNA* {Eternal Peace} Single vineyard old (survivor) vine Grenache. Nouveau style (Drink Now) with 30% whole bunch fermentation.

Appearance: Bright red colour with a light crimson hue.

Aroma/Bouquet: Fragrant aromatics of spicy dark raspberries, ripe red cherries and a faint note of liquorice, followed by confectionary.

Palate: Delicious flavours of ripe dark raspberries, plums and liquorice decorate the palate giving it a juicy mouth feel. Underpinning this vibrant fruit are notions of vanillin confectionary with a spicy bright finish. Velvet smooth with perfectly interwoven tannins, succulent, ripe and spicy.
