Barossa - Eden Valley Red Wine Blend
Vineyard: A selection of small parcels sourced across the Barossa region.
Season: A dry and frosty start to the growing season but thankfully not damaging to the vineyards in Eden Valley. December and early January was warm with some welcomed rain received. Overall the 2016 season delivered exceptional quality for red wine varieties across the Eden valley Barossa region.
Wine making: Selected parcels of Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre (Mataro) Tempranillo were gently fermented and barrel aged before the final blend was assessed for bottling.
Appearance: Medium Red
Aroma/Bouquet: Vibrant lifted notes of fresh red berries and peppers.
Palate: Textural and medium body with savory red berries and luscious, sweet red and blue fruits.
Food Pairing: Pizza, salty and savory dishes such as olive Tepenade on Bruschetta, anchovies and Ciabatta.
