Vineyard: In 2014, when all the varieties did achieve full ripeness, the soft cherry/blackberry overtones from the Merlot are supported by the complex characters generated by the Cabernet Sauvignon and topped off by the fruit lift from the Cabernet Franc.
Season: A late season prevailed as expected. A record number of 40 degree + days in a row, followed by torrential rain was a bit concerning; fortunately Eden Valley was still in verasion so this ended up being a godsend. In summary, a challenging season with good quality but very low yields.
Appearance: Bright, deep purple hues..
Aroma/Bouquet: Cherry and blackberry overtones with a slight lift of floral notes.
Palate: A complex wine with layers of berry characters, Chinese five spice and rich chocolate overtones. The palate is fruit driven with exceptional balance and savoury lingering tannin on the finish.
Food Pairing: Roast spiced duck with plums, preserved lemon and beef Tagine or Italian meatballs

Vineyard: Single vineyard estate grown (Avon Brae) is located in the High Eden region of Eden Valley/Barossa.
Season: Generous late winter rains replenished the soil profile followed into Spring. Consistent warm summer days with cool nights allowed for perfect slow ripening, maximising Riesling bunch flavour. The vintage will be long remembered as an exceptional one.
Wine making: Blend of three varieties, Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro (GSM)
Appearance: Medium red
Aroma/Bouquet: Bursting ripe raspberries, plums, Turkish delight, musk confectionery with lifted pepper and spice including nuances of clove.
Palate: Luscious red berries are obvious with flavours of flint and soft washed slate. A medium bodied wine that demands Mediterranean cuisine.
Food Pairing: Grilled Lamb cutlets with lashings of rosemary and olive oil, Margarita pizza, King George Whiting fillets wrapped in Pancetta and garden fresh broad beans. Slightly chill in warmer climates.
