Vineyard: The vineyard was planted in the early 1920's and is renowned for delivering excellent Riesling fruit. Old vines still need meticulous attention which most requirements are done so by hand management. Dry grown outside the town of Springton on the southern end of the Eden Valley wine region.
Season: Late rain finally came in the 2009 spring and early summer which was needed to replenished a very dry soil profile. Moving into the 2010 vintage, the season produced fine mild conditions with only a few intense heat days to allow for superb ripening.
Appearance: Golden colour with green hues
Aroma/Bouquet: A lively herbaceous aroma with toasty buttery richness.
Palate: Mouth-filling lime citrus with toasty nut overtones. A deep textured wine with a long lingering and complex palate. The wine will develop with more fruit intensity and butterscotch depth.
Food Pairing: Matured cheese, Thai curries, risotto and cream based pasta dishes.
