Gourmet Traveller WINE award the BEST Tasting Experience

Taste Eden Valley has been awarded for the fifth year in a row, the BEST Tasting Experience in Barossa's Eden Valley region by Gourmet Traveller WINE Magazine.

Gourmet Traveller WINE award the BEST Tasting Experience to cellar doors who offer outstanding tasting experiences. It is also focussed on the quality of the wines available for tasting.

Now in its eighth year, Gourmet Traveller WINE’s Cellar Door Awards is a fantastic guide for wine lovers to ensure they have best possible experience in whichever wine region they find themselves.

Australia’s leading wine writers traversed the Australia to check in on every wine region and determine the star cellar doors, best tasting experiences and who serves the finest food in Australia’s diverse and evolving wine scene.

In determining the award recipients, Gourmet Traveller WINE writers searched for the most outstanding cellar doors by judging the quality of wine, staff knowledge and service, stemware, food, atmosphere and venue.

“It’s a pretty tough selection criteria and we are proud to be awarded this accolade for the fourth year” says Melissa Raymond, Taste Eden Valley proprietor. “It really is testament to the 14 Eden Valley wine producers we have listed at Taste Eden Valley Regional Wine Room. With over 70 wines to choose from, there is always something to make everyone’s tasting experience special.”

Taste Eden Valleys’ unique business model is based on supporting wine brands without the capability of a running their own cellar door. This approach enables promotion and competitiveness for the Eden Valley wine region through shared services while showcasing a range of unique wine experiences under the one roof.

Taste Eden Valley is a wine room (cellar door) in Angaston, showcasing 14 wine producers from the Eden Valley wine region. Here you will find the wines of Forbes & Forbes, Chaffey Bros Wine Co., Dandelion Vineyards, Heirloom Vineyards, Heathvale Vineyards, Eden Valley Wines, Garden & Field,  Poonawatta, Eden Hall Wines, Sorby Adams, Stage Door Wine Co., Riley’s of Eden Valley and Mountadam Vineyards.

Congratulations Garden & Field Wines!

Winestate Magazine have reviewed a fantastic line up of Cabernets & Bordeaux blends. With over 200 wines selected for tasting, it is a big gong for the 2018 vintage receiving 4 1/2 stars.
The Gnadenberg Road Cabernet Refosco blend is one of a kind. Beginning with the first plantings of Refosco in South Australia in 2013 the vines were hand planted alongside the Cabernet until enough fruit could be gathered for this unique and divine red wine blend. Hand picked, co-fermented on skins, before basket pressing on the estate vineyard. New Troncias French oak for 24 months, then bottled with a premium cork closure -100% TCA free.
Excellent value for a tiny production of 40 cases.
